(Columbus, OH)    Krista Mosher, a 17 year old student from Allen County, is leading an organized statewide petition drive for Ohio's youth to oppose Barack Obama's abortion agenda.  Krista indicated that she became inspired to do something after learning of a Colorado teenager who organized a petition drive to support Pro-Life state legislation.

"I started a similar petition campaign because it is important for President Obama and Congress to know that there are so many pro-life young people in Ohio who oppose abortion," said Krista Mosher.  "I hope all pro-life teenagers will join me in collecting signatures from their friends and classmates statewide.  We need to let President Obama know that Ohio's future leaders and future voters support Life." said Mosher. 
 
"Ohio Right to Life looks forward to supporting Krista and countless numbers of young pro-life leaders statewide to ensure that their message is heard all the way to Washington D.C.," said Mike Gonidakis, President of Ohio Right to Life.  "Now is the time for Ohio's youth to proclaim with one loud and unified voice that this great state proudly supports a culture of life." said Gonidakis. 
 
Krista is no stranger to volunteer work. Since she was 14 years old, she has volunteered at Lima Memorial Health System working in various departments such as the Children's Developmental Center, and the Emergency Room. She has also been active at Grace Community Church. She recently returned from a 2-week mission trip to Peru, working in the earthquake zone and capital city of Lima.
 
Krista will spend the next several months with her friends and Ohio's youth statewide obtaining signatures that will then be sent to President Obama and Congress.

(Lima, OH) Derek Mayer, a 18 year old student from Allen County, is co-leading the organized statewide petition drive for Ohio's youth to oppose Barack Obama's abortion agenda.  Derek was contacted by Krista to help with this campaign and is looking forward to gathering signatures. Derek says "when Krista contacted me about the petition, I thought, "Wow, this could be really big and a lot of work, I'm in!!" He says" I'm is excited about standing up and speaking out for Pro-Life. Abortion needs to be Stopped."

Derek hopes that they will be able to aquire 100,000 signatures from Ohio's teens.

Derek has also been active at Grace Community Church. He recently returned from a 2-week mission trip to Peru, working in the earthquake zone and capital city of Lima. He is involved in a local 4-H club. This fall he will be to attending Cornerstone Unversity, in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
